As you follow the long winding driveway up a heavily wooded mountain side the scene opens up to a beautiful ranch property featuring an exquisite log home.
Our client’s intention to renovate their landscaping was to draw more attention to the front entrance of their home. This gave Outdoor Craftsmen the ability to drastically alter the flow of the existing driveway system and to better utilize the space for the comfort of the homeowners and their visitors.
Large masses of moss rock boulders are being used as natural outcroppings that reflect the native surroundings throughout the property, both for aesthetic appeal and the retention of slopes.
The grandeur of this large house is being artistically enhanced by the reconstruction of the front stoop system. An imported multicolored flagstone is being used to accent the moss rock boulders in the contiguous landscape.
The choice of plant material is going to be important so as to maintain the clients desire to have outstanding seasonal color while being less attractive to the herds of deer, elk and other wildlife in the vicinity.
The upgrades to the rear patios and the addition of a custom outdoor kitchen area and fire pit create yet another unique outdoor living space in this mountainous environment.
